Katrina Arts Relief Donors

The Shreveport Regional Arts Council along with area artists made a commitment to provide "Katrina Arts Relief" to the evacuees who found themselves "at home" in Shreveport. With training by Arts Therapist Dr. Rebecca Thomas artists worked for more than ten weeks in area public and private shelters helping thousands of children translate their memories of leaving home, arriving in Shreveport, being helped by volunteers, and their hopes for returning home into paintings and drawings.
